 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. “My uncle is the best Governor Osun ever had”- Davido brags

Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has publicly commended his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, for his leadership in Osun State.

Speaking during an appearance on the show Culture Knock Out (C.K.O), hosted by Chris and Baloo, Davido described Governor Adeleke as the most effective leader the state has ever had.

The singer acknowledged that some people doubted his uncle’s capabilities due to his well-known love for dancing. However, Davido emphasized that Governor Adeleke has silenced critics by delivering impressive results since taking office.

He said, “My uncle, the Dancing Governor is good vibes. He has an amazing story, he is the last born of my dad’s family. They [Osun people] never believed that he would become a governor.

“He is a real example of, ‘Don’t judge a book by its cover’; just because somebody likes to dance and have a good time, it doesn’t mean when it is time to work, he won’t. Now, he’s been the best Governor that they’ve ever had.”
