 TROOPS OF OPERATION UDOKA DISMANTLE CRIMINAL SYNDICATE, RECOVER STOLEN WEAPONS Troops of 34 Artillery Brigade, operating under Operation UDOKA through the ongoing Operation EASTERN SANITY II, have recorded a significant operational success with the arrest of key members of a notorious criminal syndicate responsible for the ambush of troops on 4 May 2026. Unfortunately, the ambush claimed the life of one soldier and left another wounded. Following the attack, troops launched a series of intelligence-led raids aimed at apprehending the perpetrators and recovering weapons stolen during the incident.  Protest Erupts in Benue Over Police Killing of Final-Year Student


Makurdi, Benue State — Outrage has erupted in Makurdi following the alleged killing of 23-year-old Emmanuella Ahenjir, a final-year student of Federal University, Wukari, by police officers.


Emmanuella was reportedly shot by unidentified policemen at the Wurukum roundabout last Friday.


Led by activist Ukan Kurugh, protesters—mostly youths—took to the streets demanding justice, carrying placards reading “End Police Brutality” and “Justice for Emmanuella.”
