  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  Rivers Elders Hail Fubara’s Visit to Wike as Peace Sacrifice


Rivers State elders have praised Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s recent visit to Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike as a selfless act aimed at fostering peace in the state, amid ongoing political tensions. Chief Anabs Sara-Igbe, a member of the Rivers State Elders and Leaders Council and pioneer spokesman of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, described the governor’s move as a necessary sacrifice, contrasting it with what he called Wike’s combative posture.


Speaking on the meeting, Sara-Igbe emphasized Fubara’s consistent pursuit of peace, stating, “The governor is looking for peace — it is Wike who doesn’t want peace. You can’t get peace without sacrifice.” He noted that the details of the discussion remain private unless Wike chooses to disclose them, adding, “At the end of the day, we’ll hear the result.”


Sara-Igbe commended Fubara’s humility, saying, “The governor is a governor of everybody. With humility, he went there to discuss, and they discussed.”


Wike confirmed the meeting during a live media chat on Monday, revealing that Fubara visited his Port Harcourt residence accompanied by two governors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and another individual. “He came with two governors and one other person. He said he wants peace — fine. I want peace,” Wike stated, noting that he would not pursue the APC governors involved.
