 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. 2025 EID-EL-KABIR: CP FCT POLICE COMMAND FELICITATES WITH RESIDENTS.


The Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory, CP Ajao S. Adewale, psc, mnips, on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, and the officers and men of the FCT Police Command, extends warm Eid-el-Kabir greetings to all Muslim faithful and residents of the FCT.


This sacred occasion, which symbolizes sacrifice, compassion, and unity, presents an opportunity for reflection, gratitude, and peaceful celebration with loved ones. The Command joins all well-meaning Nigerians in celebrating the strength of our shared values and the spirit of togetherness that defines this festive period.


The Commissioner of Police encourages residents to embrace the values of love, kindness, and mutual respect that Eid represents. He further urges everyone to celebrate responsibly and continue to be law-abiding citizens.
