 Russian forces to stay in Mali to fight terrorism: Kremlin The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russian forces would stay in Mali to help the country's government battle terrorists following an offensive over the weekend by Tuareg-led separatists and terrorists. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the statement after being asked by a reporter how Russia responded to a purported statement from the terrorists saying they wanted Russia to leave Mali. "Russia's presence there is, in fact, due to the need identified by the current government. Russia will continue, including in Mali, to combat extremism, terrorism and other harmful phenomena and will continue to provide assistance to the current government," said Peskov, AFP reported. The Russian Defence Ministry had claimed on Tuesday that units of its African Corps prevented an attempted coup on April 25, 2026 in Mali. A FLORIDA FATHER MADE THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE ON FATHER'S DAY.(PHOTO).

 A Florida father made the ultimate sacrifice on Father's Day.


33-year-old Antwon Wilson was enjoying Father's Day at the beach in Ft. Lauderdale with his daughters when everything changed for this family. Circumstances required their father to step up and show what a father's love means and Antwon did not hesitate. The incident unfolded shortly after 7 P.M. only minutes after lifeguards finished their last shift of the day.


As Antwon was in the water he noticed his young  daughter was struggling in the rough surf. When seconds counted and his young daughters life hung in the balance Antwon sprang into action.


Antwon struggled through the rough waters and managed to reach his daughter. He was then able to keep her afloat until 

lifeguards who fortunately hadn't left for the day, could make it to his daughter.


Sadly, after handing his daughter off to the lifeguards Antwon was immediately pulled underwater. Antwon was recovered from the water only minutes later.


Both father and daughter were rushed to Broward Health Medical Center where Antwon passed away. Antwon's young daughter is expected to make a full recovery. Her father's selfless act saved her life. 


Our thoughts are with the entire family. Rest in peace, Antwon.
