 STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE President Tinubu commends Nigeria's Armed Forces for protecting democracy in Benin Republic President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended the gallantry of Nigeria's military on Sunday for responding swiftly to the request by the Government of Benin Republic to save its 35-year-old democracy from coup plotters who struck at dawn today. Acting on two separate requests from the Government of Benin, President Tinubu first ordered Nigerian Air Force fighter jets to enter the country and take over the airspace to help dislodge the coup plotters from the National TV and a military camp where they had regrouped.   The Republic of Benin, through its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a Note Verbal, requested immediate Nigerian air support "in view of the urgency and seriousness of the situation and to safeguard the constitutional order, protect national institutions and ensure the security of the population." A REFUGEE FROM THE ST. LOUIS TORNADO IS CHARGED AFTER THROWING HOT GREASE ON HER ROOMMATE BEFORE STABBING HER MULTIPLE TIMES.(PHOTO).

 A refugee from the St. Louis tornado is charged after throwing hot grease on her roommate before stabbing her multiple times.


23-year-old Sanaa-Azzariya McAffe had been living with the victim for approximately three weeks after becoming displaced following a tornado. It is reported that a verbal altercation turned violent. 


Officers in Cape Girardeau, Missouri were called to the residence after a neighbor called 911 and reported hearing a woman screaming. Upon gaining entry, they found the victim covered in blood and barely able to stand.


The victim was rushed to the hospital for treatment where the extent of her injuries became clear. The victim had been st*bbed in the neck and thigh, she also had cuts to her face and hand. In addition to those wounds, she had burns on her face.


When the victim was able to speak with officers she informed them that she had let McAfee stay with her after McAfee's home was destroyed by the tornado that had impacted St. Louis. She told police she and McAfee had begun arguing on the night of the incident. As the exchange escalated, McAfee callously grabbed a pan of hot grease and threw it in her face before st*bbing and slicing her with a blade.


After the assault, McAfee stole the victim's cellphone and fled in the victim's car. Flock cameras picked up the vehicle in the area of Ferguson, Missouri; however there is no report on if it has been recovered. 


Sanaa-Azzariya McAffe was finally arrested on June 17th. She is being charged with both first and second degree assault, armed criminal action and stealing a motor vehicle. McAfee had a bond set at $ 100,000.


Our thoughts are with the victim and we hope she has a full recovery.
