 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. A TERRE HAUTE, INDIANA WOMAN IS FACING SERIOUS CHARGES AFTER CAUSING AN ACCIDENT WHILE INTOXICATED THAT TOOK THE LIVES OF TWO JUVENILES.(PHOTO).

 A Terre Haute, Indiana woman is facing serious charges after causing an accident while intoxicated that took the lives of two juveniles.


Misty Casey was operating an SUV with 4 juvenile occupants on Saturday, June 7th. As she traveled west on Oak Street she failed to stop at a stop sign causing her to collide with a truck. 


The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries. Two of the juveniles in Casey's SUV suffered non-life threatening injuries,  however the other two minor children lost their lives as a result of the collision. 


Authorities report that Misty Casey had THC in her system as well as a BAC of 0.22.


Misty Casey was placed under arrest and charged with two counts of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Resulting in Death and Confinement. 


There is no information regarding Casey's relationship to the deceased. The incident remains under investigation.
