 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  ‎Edo State Government To Return 36 Schools To Catholic Church

‎The Edo State Government has announced plans to return 36 primary and secondary schools to the Catholic Church, decades after the schools were forcefully taken over by the civil government in the 1970s.

‎

‎The decision was made following a meeting between Governor Okpebholo and Bishop Gabriel G. Dunia of the Catholic Diocese of Auchi.

‎

‎The schools slated for return include those formerly owned by the Catholic Archdiocese of Benin City and the Catholic Diocese of Uromi.Okpebholo assured that a committee will be set up to identify all schools for handover.

‎

‎According to the statement, the decision to return some schools to the missionary aimed to address long-standing grievances and potentially enhance educational standards through faith-based initiatives across Edo State.
