 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa Student Dies in Road Incident on Way to Makurdi for Sallah Holiday


Tragedy struck yesterday evening as a female student of the Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa, Toto campus, lost her life in a road incident while traveling to Makurdi, Benue State, to celebrate the Sallah holiday. 


According to eyewitness accounts, the incident occurred along the Toto–Makurdi route. Though full details of the accident remain unclear, it was confirmed that the student died at the scene before emergency services could arrive.


The identity of the deceased has been withheld pending notification of her family.


Authorities are yet to issue an official statement, but school officials have expressed their condolences and called for increased caution among students traveling during festive periods.


Students and staff of the Polytechnic community have been thrown into mourning, describing the late student as “friendly and hardworking.”


More details will be provided as investigations continue.
