 Abia Police Arrest Butcher for Stabbing Customer in Neck Over Meat Price Dispute   The Abia State Police Command has arrested a butcher for allegedly stabbing his customer in the neck with a pair of scissors during a heated argument over the price of meat at Orie Ugba Market in Umuahia. Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Maureen Chinaka, confirmed the incident in a statement released on Monday, March 16, 2026. According to the police spokesperson, the altercation occurred on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the busy Orie Ugba Market when the victim and the suspect disagreed over the cost of meat. “The Abia State Police Command is aware of the incident that occurred at Orieugba Market on 14/03/2026, where a meat butcher stabbed his customer in the neck with a pair of scissors following a disagreement over the price of meat,” DSP Chinaka stated.  FIVE NIGERIANS, ONE GHANAIAN ARRESTED FOR ROBBERY IN GHANA


A syndicate of five Nigerians and one Ghanaian has been arrested in the Ashanti region of Ghana for armed robbery.


Regional Police Commander, DCOP Emmanuel Teye Cudjoe, said the arrested persons specialized in robbing bank customers who visit banks to withdraw huge sums of money.


A gold-coloured Toyota Highlander with registration number GT 2471-14 and a black Toyota Highlander with registration number GX 7124-12 used for robbery were recovered from the hoodlums. Both vehicles were found to bear fake licence plates.


"They admitted to carrying out similar thefts at several locations within Kumasi, including Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), Mayanka, Asokwa, Kumasi Central Mosque, ShopRite and Georgia Hotel area," said DCOP Teye Cudjoe.


Cudjoe identified the robbers as Russell Ekenze, Francis Friday, Linus Agwazie, Cosmas Maduabuchukwu, Ezuchukwu, C.J, DD, and Lele. Maduabuchukwu was said to have escaped with gunshot wounds.
