Kebbi Govt Donates 10 Hilux Vehicles to Boost Security on Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway  The Kebbi State Government has handed over 10 brand-new Hilux vehicles to the Federal Ministry of Works to strengthen security for personnel working on the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway project. The vehicles were formally received by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who praised Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasiru Idris (Kauran Gwandu), for the donation. Goronyo described the gesture as a clear demonstration of the state government’s commitment to protecting workers and contractors on the strategic highway corridor. He explained that the vehicles will be deployed exclusively to security operatives providing cover for construction teams along the section of the super highway passing through Kebbi State. The Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway is a multi-state infrastructure project aimed at improving connectivity and economic activities across northern and southern Nigeria. More...

Iran has fired over 400 missiles at Israel, hit 40 locations - Netanyahu

The intensifying conflict between Israel and Iran has taken a heavy toll, with both nations reeling from sustained strikes and mounting casualties.

According to the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Iran has launched over 400 missiles and hundreds of drones toward Israeli territory since Friday, following Israel’s initial round of airstrikes on Iranian targets.

The CNN, quoting the office, said the barrage has struck more than 40 locations across Israel, triggering nearly 19,000 damage claims filed with the national tax authority.

Officials confirmed that at least 24 people have been killed, over 800 others injured, and more than 3,800 residents evacuated from high-risk zones.

On the other side of the border, Iranian authorities report that at least 224 people have been killed since the hostilities began last Friday, though independent verification remains difficult amid the ongoing attacks.

The sharp escalation marks one of the most dangerous confrontations between the two regional powers in recent years, raising fears of a broader war and drawing international appeals for restraint.

Both countries continue to trade heavy fire, with missile defense systems engaged across Israeli skies and reports of widespread damage to infrastructure in major cities in both nations.

The international community is closely monitoring the situation, as diplomatic efforts to de-escalate have so far made little headway.
