 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  IT'S WEIRD TO OWN MANY CARS - MADE KUTI


Made, grandson of the legendary Afrobeats musician, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, said he finds it weird to own several cars.


“I just find it weird to own so many cars,” he said. “I’m the kind of person who just does what he wants. Maybe my dad was very clever with how he raised us. I don’t care much about materialistic things."


Made Kuti said cars depreciate fast and do not provide real material joy to people. According to him, personal development is more important than accumulating physical possessions. 


"How many cars do you need to drive? I genuinely don’t understand why you need 7, 8 cars. They are depreciating assets. In the next couple of years, they will depreciate."
