Kaduna PDP Condemns Bandit Attacks In Giwa, Kajuru, Demands Urgent Government Action

The Kaduna State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has strongly condemned the recent spate of bandit attacks in Kagara and Ugom communities of Giwa and Kajuru Local Government Areas, which claimed the lives of two residents and left several others injured.

In a statement issued on Saturday by the Kaduna PDP Chairman, Sir Edward Percy Masha, the party expressed deep concern over the violent incidents which occurred on June 4 and 6, 2025.

Victims of the attacks were identified as Salisu Aminu and Stephen Alhassan, who were reportedly killed during the raids, which also involved cattle rustling and widespread panic in the affected communities.

The PDP extended its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and called for swift medical attention and humanitarian support for those injured.

The statement took a critical stance against the Uba Sani-led All Progressives Congress (APC) administration in Kaduna State, accusing it of failing to adequately protect lives and property. It urged the government to immediately review its security strategy and reactivate the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs to carry out its mandate more effectively.

Additionally, the PDP called on federal security agencies to intensify collaboration with state actors, and appealed to agencies like the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs to provide immediate relief and support to victims.

Reaffirming its commitment to public safety, the PDP vowed to continue holding the APC government accountable and called on the people of Kaduna State to remain steadfast in hope for positive change in the 2027 elections.
