 Flu outbreak hits Air Force basic training in Texas after vaccine mandate lifted, with 159 cases reported among recruits    A flu outbreak is affecting Air Force basic training in San Antonio, Texas, with at least 159 confirmed cases and two hospitalizations reported among recruits as health officials respond to a cluster of infections at Joint Base San Antonio. The outbreak developed over the past several weeks and has prompted medical staff to isolate symptomatic trainees, treat cases, and monitor those who were in close contact with infected individuals. Officials said additional cases and hospitalizations are still being assessed. An Air Force spokesperson confirmed the situation, describing it as a localized influenza outbreak within the basic military training program.  OBIDIENTS CANCEL DONATIONS FOR PETER OBI'S BIRTHDAY


Following an earlier call for Obidients across Nigeria and the world at large to donate for Peter Obi's 64th birthday on July 19, the Peter Obi Movement has cancelled the request.


In a statement signed by Dr. Yunusa Tanko,

National Coordinator; Morris Monye,

Director of Mobilisation; and Nana Kazaure,

Director Strategic Communications & Media today, the group said requesting for birthday donations was an error.


"We acknowledge that the release of donation account details and communication without adequate context may have created confusion and raised concerns," the group said. "The call for donations has been suspended and instead we encourage you to allocate your resources and lend a helping hand to those in need."


The group said a rally tagged “FROM COMPASSION TO PURPOSE: Obidients in Action for a New Possible Nigeria” will instead hold across the country and Obidients will help the less-privileged.
