Lagos police launch investigation as jeweller  accuses its officers of harassment The Lagos State Police Command said it has commenced an investigation into a viral video of a jeweller accusing some policemen in the Festac area of the state of harassing him.  The command disclosed this in an X post on Saturday. The video, which circulated on X on Saturday morning, shows the businessman engaged in a struggle with some policemen. Later in the video, the businessman could be seen with a bloody face after allegedly sustaining a cut beside his right eye during the struggle with the police officers,  The jeweller later explained that the policemen from the Festac Division had stopped him for a routine search.  SECURITY IN ANAMBRA: POLICE ARRESTS TWO SUSPECTS WHO ARE PART OF A CRIMINAL SYNDICATE THAT DEFRAUDED A VICTIM OF TWO TRUCKS LOAD OF CEMENT WORTH SEVENTEEN MILLION NAIRA


Following a complaint received by Police Operatives attached to the 33 Police Station on how one Edwin Emeka of unknown address defrauded an unsuspecting member of the public of two trucks load of cement worth Seventeen million naira only, arrested one Nnanna Charles and Okoye Chukwunonso in possession of the rip-off goods.


The victim met Edwin online and has been in communication with him. Immediately the cement was supplied, all attempts to get to Edwin proved abortive,  before the Police Operatives traced the goods to different shops in the State. 


The two suspects are currently undergoing interrogations to provide more information on how to arrest Edwin and other syndicate members.


The case highlights the importance of vigilance especially those we meet online for business transactions and other personal engagements to prevent harm or loss of life and property. 


The Case shall be charged to court on the conclusion of the investigations.
