T'CHALLA'S SUCCESSOR AS BLACK PANTHER APPEARS TO BE WHITE: MARVEL COMICS HAS IGNITED FIERCE DEBATE WITH THE LATEST ISSUE OF MARVEL KNIGHT ' THE WORLD TO COME'. (PHOTO).

Marvel Comics has ignited fierce debate with the latest issue of Marvel Knights: The World To Come, which reveals that T'Challa's successor as Black Panther appears to be white.

The character Ketema defeats T'Challa in tribal combat and unmasks to reveal he's a white male with blonde hair and blue eyes. Fans across social media are expressing everything from outrage to curiosity about this shocking development.

The story becomes more intriguing when you consider the creative team. Christopher Priest, who co-created this storyline, is widely recognized as the first Black writer-editor in mainstream comics. He previously wrote acclaimed Black Panther runs and has deep understanding of Wakandan lore. This suggests the controversial reveal isn't shock value but part of a larger narrative exploring identity, legacy, and belonging.

The central mystery remains: if both T'Challa and his supposed mother Monica Lynne are Black, how is Ketema white? Comic fans are speculating about alternative parentage theories and whether this connects to deeper Marvel continuity.
