  Chikun/Kajuru Rep, Hon. Fidelix Bagudu, Announces New Appointments To Strengthen Inclusive Governance The Honourable Member representing the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, Hon. Fidelix Joseph Bagudu, has announced a wide-ranging list of new appointments aimed at deepening inclusive governance and enhancing representation across the constituency. The appointments, which take immediate effect, were unveiled in alignment with Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani’s commitment to participatory governance. According to the lawmaker’s office, the list reflects deliberate efforts to ensure fair representation of all wards, communities, and interest groups across Chikun and Kajuru Local Government Areas (LGAs). A statement issued by the Media and Publicity Directorate noted that the move also fulfills the Honourable Member’s campaign pledge to integrate every segment of the constituency into the decision-making and governance structure.  Tragedy in Osisioma: Bride Abducted, Brother Killed Days Before Wedding


A wedding planned in Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area turned tragic on Friday, June 20, 2025, when gunmen attacked the bride-to-be’s residence, kidnapping her and killing her brother. The incident, which occurred around 8:00 p.m. near Ariaria Junction, has left the community in mourning.


The bride, Uzoamaka Joseph Aliu, was abducted by unknown assailants during the violent attack. Her brother, Chibueze Franklin Joseph, who was actively involved in preparations for the upcoming wedding, was fatally shot. The wedding, scheduled to take place shortly after the incident, was immediately canceled.


Chibueze’s body has been deposited at Alanwemadu Mortuary near Arongwa, while the family is desperately working to secure Uzoamaka’s release. Residents of the community have expressed profound shock and grief over the senseless act, which has cast a pall over the area.


The Abia State Police Command has yet to release an official statement, but investigations are expected to be underway to apprehend the perpetrators and rescue the abducted bride.
