 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  Wike Dares PDP Critics, Says No One Can Expel Him from Party


Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, on Monday, strongly rebuffed calls for his expulsion from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), asserting that no one has the authority or courage to remove him. Speaking at a media parley in Abuja at 12:55 PM WAT, the former Rivers State governor emphasized his long-standing commitment to the party and challenged his detractors to justify their contributions compared to his.


“I am still in the PDP. I worked hard for the party,” Wike declared. “I have not seen anybody who will have the guts to tell me, ‘Wike, you are not a member of the party.’ Who is that? What is his contribution to the party that is more than me?”


Wike’s comments come amid escalating tensions within the PDP, fueled by concerns over his role in the current administration and his political stance, which some party members view as conflicting with the party’s interests. Despite the criticism, the FCT minister insisted that his loyalty to the PDP remains unshaken and warned that he would not be easily ousted. The ongoing rift highlights deepening divisions within the party as it navigates internal challenges ahead of future political contests.
