 Trump announces Hamas disarmament and Israeli troop withdrawal agreement under Gaza ceasefire plan   President Donald Trump announced Thursday that Hamas has agreed to a plan to disarm and that Israel will withdraw its forces from Gaza as part of a U.S.-backed ceasefire framework. Trump described the agreement as a major step toward creating a new Palestinian government in Gaza that would work with the newly established Board of Peace to oversee the next stages of the plan. The president said the agreement would also provide Israel with increased security by preventing Gaza from being used as a launching point for future attacks. Details of the agreement were limited, and neither Israel nor Hamas immediately released statements responding to Trump’s announcement.  Wike Dares PDP Critics, Says No One Can Expel Him from Party


Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, on Monday, strongly rebuffed calls for his expulsion from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), asserting that no one has the authority or courage to remove him. Speaking at a media parley in Abuja at 12:55 PM WAT, the former Rivers State governor emphasized his long-standing commitment to the party and challenged his detractors to justify their contributions compared to his.


“I am still in the PDP. I worked hard for the party,” Wike declared. “I have not seen anybody who will have the guts to tell me, ‘Wike, you are not a member of the party.’ Who is that? What is his contribution to the party that is more than me?”


Wike’s comments come amid escalating tensions within the PDP, fueled by concerns over his role in the current administration and his political stance, which some party members view as conflicting with the party’s interests. Despite the criticism, the FCT minister insisted that his loyalty to the PDP remains unshaken and warned that he would not be easily ousted.
