 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.  Tragic Loss: Woman Killed in Road Accident Days Before Reunion With Mother After 30 Years


A devastating road accident at Edjeba Junction near DBS, Warri, has claimed the life of Vivian Temi, a woman who was just days away from reuniting with her mother after more than three decades apart.


According to a report by Trish, the incident occurred on Thursday, June 5, as Temi was returning from the Nigerian Immigration Office. She had been making preparations for the long-awaited reunion with her mother, whom she had not seen in over 30 years.


Eyewitnesses allege that the accident was caused by a high-speed convoy belonging to an unidentified individual. The convoy, described as "reckless" and "overspeeding," reportedly crashed into the vehicle Temi was traveling in.


She was pronounced dead at the scene.


Temi, who would have celebrated her birthday on June 25, was widely known for her gentle spirit and love for children. Friends and members of her community have taken to social media and local gatherings to mourn her, remembering her as warm, soft-spoken, and deeply compassionate.


She is survived by her children and extended family.
