 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. A PRECIOUS 1-YEAR-OLD OHIO GIRL LOST HER LIFE IN A DOG ATTACK DESPITE HER MOTHER TRYING TO STOP IT.(PHOTO).

 A precious 1-year-old Ohio girl lost her life in a dog attack despite her mother trying to stop it.


Tuscarawas County Sheriff's Department deputies were called to a home in Dover Township on July 2nd. The initial 911 call was silent. However, dispatchers were able to speak with the mother during a second call. She informed dispatchers that their family dog had fatally attacked her 1-year-old daughter, Blakely Blosser. 


When deputies arrived on the scene, they found Blakely suffering multiple bites to her face and throat. 


Blakely's mother said they were just walking into the home when the family pit bull suddenly attacked Blakely. She stated she attempted to stop the attack but was unsuccessful. Deputies noted that the mother did appear to have defensive wounds. 


The mother told deputies the dog had never attacked anyone but had exhibited signs of aggression towards other dogs.


According to reports, the dog was not immediately confiscated but rather put down by Blakely's father when he arrived at the home. 


Authorities say the case will be reviewed by prosecutors but charges are not likely.
