 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.  EFCC Arrests 12 For Alleged Internet Fraud In Lagos


Operatives of the Lagos Zonal Directorate 2 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested 12 suspected internet fraudsters in Lagos. The suspects are: Jinadu Hammed, Phillip Gift, Ikemefuna Enekwechi, Daniel Edu, Ponmile Salami and David Uche Akpuru. Others are: Abdurahman Oroan, Eyiaromi Daniel, Sodipo Shinaayo, Confidence Henry Ifechukwudi, Samuel Afuap and Eko Sylvanus. They were arrested on Thursday, July 31, 2025, during a sting operation on Spar Road, Salem Bus Stop, Lekki, Lagos State. This followed credible intelligence received by the Commission on the activities of some individuals suspected to be involved in computer-related fraud.
