 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo.  FEMALE HUMAN RIGHTS ACTIVIST SLUMPS, DIES


A popular human rights activist in Lagos State, Comrade Obawolu Adedoja Aanu, has died. She slumped and gave up the ghost on Saturday evening.


According to eyewitnesses, Aanu was full of life throughout the day at her shop. But on returning home in the evening, she slumped at the entrance of her house and died. 


She was actively involved in several civil society organisations, including the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR) and the People’s Conscience.


A fellow activist confirmed that the deceased was a visible and vocal participant in protest marches, policy dialogues, and grassroots advocacy focused on promoting transparency and accountability in governance.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
