Russian forces to stay in Mali to fight terrorism: Kremlin The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russian forces would stay in Mali to help the country's government battle terrorists following an offensive over the weekend by Tuareg-led separatists and terrorists.  FIFA may shift 2026 World Cup matches from US to Canada over visa crisis

FIFA is considering moving some 2026 World Cup matches out of the United States to Canada over the country’s strict immigration policies.

According to reports, the new U.S. visa restrictions have made entry difficult for fans, journalists, and even entire delegations.

With over 40 countries currently on the U.S. travel ban list, including Iran supporters of qualified teams may be locked out, leaving stadiums nearly empty.

The development has sparked criticism from fans and human rights groups, questioning FIFA’s commitment to inclusion and non-discrimination.

Canada is now seen as a safer alternative, offering easier immigration rules, political stability, and strong logistics.

While the U.S. still provides financial muscle for the tournament, FIFA faces pressure to protect its values of diversity and accessibility.

A decision on whether to shift some matches to Canada is expected soon.
