 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Ghanaian billionaire Richard Nii Armarh Quaye to open a special restaurant where people can walk in and eat for free


Richard Nii Amarh Quaye has announced a new initiative to tackle food insecurity in Ghana, unveiling plans to launch a nationwide Food Bank Project starting August 1, 2025.


“This project reflects my lifelong commitment to uplifting as many Ghanaians as possible, ensuring no one is left behind,” Quaye stated. 


“Like Abraham Maslow, who placed food as a fundamental need in his Hierarchy of Needs, I believe all of us see access to food as a basic human right.”


The Food Bank will deliver free, nutritious meals to vulnerable individuals through a vast network of food vendors and distribution centres across the country.


Spearheaded by the Richard Nii Amarh Quaye Foundation, the project is driven by a personal mission to serve others.


As a serial entrepreneur and philanthropist, Quaye’s consistent impact in business and social intervention continues to touch thousands of lives nationwide.
