 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. Afrobeats superstar, Davido, said he has billions of dollars in inheritance waiting for him and that he cannot be poor again even if he stopped working. 


The musician said there are two versions of himself: the billionaire's son, and the hardworking songster. He said he chose to be the hardworking songster for now and not the billionaire's son. 


“I am regretting to myself for being hardworking," he said. "The individual strength and the type of mental ability that goes into this type of head.


“Especially when you have a lot of odds against me. I got to do it, men. It is another David. Get the f**k up. It was not for the money. I have got billions of dollars waiting for me. If I do not work all my life, I have got billions of dollars waiting for me. I love my job.”
