 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.  ISLAMIC CLERIC SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR MURDERING STUDENT FOR RITUAL


The Kwara State High Court in Ilorin has sentenced an Islamic cleric, Abdulrahman Bello, to death by hanging for the February 13 murder of a final-year student of the Kwara State College of Education.


On the fateful, 24-year-old Hafsoh Yetunde Lawal attended a naming ceremony around Offa garage area of Ilorin, from where Bello lured her to his residence and murdered her.


The cleric said he dismembered Hafsoh because he needed human hands for a ritual. He confessed to having bouts of sex with her before finally strangulating her and cutting her to pieces.
