"Malami ditches APC, joins ADC

In a bold political shift, former Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami has resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Malami announced his decision in a heartfelt letter, emphasizing that his move was not fueled by personal ambition but by a profound commitment to addressing the nation’s escalating crises.

Malami described Nigeria as a country in distress, grappling with rampant insecurity that has made banditry, kidnappings, and terrorism a daily reality, particularly in the North.

He criticized the government for prioritizing political maneuvers over citizen safety, leaving communities vulnerable.

He also highlighted the dire economic situation, with soaring food prices rendering basic necessities unaffordable for many, widespread job losses, and a pervasive sense of hopelessness among the youth.

Investment opportunities

Malami expressed frustration with a governance system that he believes favours political loyalty over national interest, neglecting the suffering of ordinary Nigerians.

Malami sees the ADC as a platform to unite Nigerians in a coalition aimed at reversing the country’s decline and restoring hope.

He called on citizens to join this movement, urging collective action to reclaim Nigeria’s future.

Addressing his home state, Malami reaffirmed his dedication to Kebbi State, pledging to amplify its residents’ voices and safeguard their interests.
