MOROCCO FILES PETITION WITH CAF OVER TWO SUPER FALCONS PLAYERS

Morocco has filed a petition with CAF in a formal complaint alleging that two Super Falcons players are foreigners and not Nigerian citizens.

Having suffered a 3-2 loss to Nigeria in the recently concluded 2024 WAFCON tournament, Morocco alleged that Ashleigh Plumptre and Michelle Alozie are not eligible to play for the country.

Moroccan sports authorities said the manner in which the two claimed to be Nigerians is faulty and irregular.

Investigations however revealed that Plumptre's grandfather is a Nigerian even though she was born in the United States. And Alozie was born in the United States to immigrant parents.
