 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. The Labour Party has officially flagged off the gubernatorial campaign of Chief George Muoghalu at the All Saints Cathedral, Onitsha, ahead of the November 8 governorship election. His Excellency the former governor of Anambra state and Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi was among the party members that were around for the flag off Campaign.


During his endorsement speech for the labour party governorship candidate for Anambra Election, Obi described Muoghalu as a capable, God-fearing, and people oriented leader with the competence and character needed to transform Anambra State.


Speaking at the flag off, Chief Muoghalu expressed deep gratitude to the Labour Party leadership and Peter Obi for their trust and support, and pledged to lead with the fear of God, uphold the dignity of every citizen, and build a government that listens, responds, and delivers.
