 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.  President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte have started a three-day state visit to the UK. The first by a French president since 2008 and the first EU leader since Brexit.


The Macrons were welcomed at RAF Northolt by the Prince and Princess of Wales, before joining King Charles and Queen Camilla in Windsor. They travelled in open-top carriages through Windsor in a royal procession escorted by the Household Cavalry.
