 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. S. A: A 33-YEAR-OLD MALE SUSPECT HAS BEEN ARRESTED BY MEMBERS OF THE SAPS NELSPRUIT FLYING SQUAD FOLLOWING AN ARMED ROBBERY INVOLVING A MEDICAL DOCTOR IN BARBERTON. THE INCIDENT OCCURRED ON WEDNESDAY, 30 JULY 2025.(PHOTO).


   S. A: A 33-year-old male suspect has been arrested by members of the SAPS Nelspruit Flying Squad following an armed robbery involving a medical doctor in Barberton. The incident occurred on Wednesday, 30 July 2025, at approximately 23:45.


According to reports, the doctor was on his way home after completing his shift when he was approached by two armed suspects. One of them allegedly pointed a firearm at the victim and hijacked his new white Mahindra bakkie. The suspects then fled the scene.


Acting on intelligence, police tracked the stolen vehicle travelling towards Machadodorp in the direction of Nelspruit, using the Schoemanskloof Road. While patrolling the N4, officers spotted the vehicle and initiated a high-speed chase.


The suspect’s vehicle turned onto Sabie Road near the Sudwala Caves, where the driver eventually lost control and veered off the road. While the passenger managed to escape, the driver was apprehended on the scene.


During a search, officers recovered a 9mm pistol with the serial number filed off, six live rounds of ammunition, a military-grade signal jamming device with 16 antennas, and a Lenovo laptop.
