 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo.  Pakistani allegedly raped a 12-year-old girl and disappeared into thin air


The Burgesfort Police Detectives from the Family Violence, Child Protection, and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS) are urgently seeking community assistance to locate a Pakistani foreign national known only as Adino, whose presence is deemed critical in solving a rape case involving a 12-year-old girl at a spaza shop in Ga-Mampa Village, Mecklenburg on Thursday, 15 May 2025. 


The victim, who approached the suspect for plastics to make a ball, was raped after other customers left the shop, managed to escape, and reported the incident to her mother, who confronted the suspect before he fled the village, prompting police to open a rape case and launch an unsuccessful manhunt. 


Authorities urge the man pictured to report to the nearest police station and request anyone with information to contact Constable Mildred Manamela Mabotja at 071 355 0571.
