 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.  TIV STUDENTS OF ADAMAWA STATE UNIVERSITY, MUBI CELEBRATES TIV-DAY IN A GRAND STYLE

Earlier yesterday, the Community of Tiv Students (CTS), Adamawa State University, Mubi, held its much-anticipated 2025 Tiv Day Celebration. The event was a colourful and memorable display of Tiv culture, heritage, music, and unity. It brought together students, staff, and well-wishers from within and outside the university community. The occasion was graced by notable personalities including the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Augustine Clement, ably represented by the Dean of Student Affairs; the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Marcel P. Agah; Prof. Joyce D., HOD of Agricultural Economics and Extension; Prof. Mrs. Asabe Ibrahim; Prof. S. T. Umar; Prof. Abigail Edward; Dr. Wahidi Ijasini; and Dr. Minnessi Glenn Kibikiwa, among others. Their presence added great honour and prestige to the celebration.


"In the course of the event, I was deeply humbled and honoured to receive a Leadership Award from the Community of Tiv Students as the Most Serving CTS President. This recognition not only celebrates my dedication and commitment to the growth and development of the association but also serves as a motivation to continue striving for excellence in leadership and service.
