 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo.  TIV STUDENTS OF ADAMAWA STATE UNIVERSITY, MUBI CELEBRATES TIV-DAY IN A GRAND STYLE

Earlier yesterday, the Community of Tiv Students (CTS), Adamawa State University, Mubi, held its much-anticipated 2025 Tiv Day Celebration. The event was a colourful and memorable display of Tiv culture, heritage, music, and unity. It brought together students, staff, and well-wishers from within and outside the university community. The occasion was graced by notable personalities including the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Augustine Clement, ably represented by the Dean of Student Affairs; the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Marcel P. Agah; Prof. Joyce D., HOD of Agricultural Economics and Extension; Prof. Mrs. Asabe Ibrahim; Prof. S. T. Umar; Prof. Abigail Edward; Dr. Wahidi Ijasini; and Dr. Minnessi Glenn Kibikiwa, among others. Their presence added great honour and prestige to the celebration.


"In the course of the event, I was deeply humbled and honoured to receive a Leadership Award from the Community of Tiv Students as the Most Serving CTS President. This recognition not only celebrates my dedication and commitment to the growth and development of the association but also serves as a motivation to continue striving for excellence in leadership and service. Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
