 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  TIV STUDENTS OF ADAMAWA STATE UNIVERSITY, MUBI CELEBRATES TIV-DAY IN A GRAND STYLE

Earlier yesterday, the Community of Tiv Students (CTS), Adamawa State University, Mubi, held its much-anticipated 2025 Tiv Day Celebration. The event was a colourful and memorable display of Tiv culture, heritage, music, and unity. It brought together students, staff, and well-wishers from within and outside the university community. The occasion was graced by notable personalities including the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Augustine Clement, ably represented by the Dean of Student Affairs; the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Marcel P. Agah; Prof. Joyce D., HOD of Agricultural Economics and Extension; Prof. Mrs. Asabe Ibrahim; Prof. S. T. Umar; Prof. Abigail Edward; Dr. Wahidi Ijasini; and Dr. Minnessi Glenn Kibikiwa, among others. Their presence added great honour and prestige to the celebration.


"In the course of the event, I was deeply humbled and honoured to receive a Leadership Award from the Community of Tiv Students as the Most Serving CTS President. This recognition not only celebrates my dedication and commitment to the growth and development of the association but also serves as a motivation to continue striving for excellence in leadership and service.
