 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Use the Pedestrian Bridge or Face Arrest : FRSC Warns Road Users in Anambra.


The Anambra State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has launched a sensitization campaign at the popular Unizik Junction, Awka, to educate road users on the importance of using the pedestrian bridge rather than risking their lives by crossing the busy highway.


During the exercise, FRSC officers distributed flyers and sensitized commuters on the dangers of crossing the expressway without using the bridge, even as individuals caught crossing the road illegally were cautioned and advised to prioritize their safety.


The Anambra state commander of FRSC Mrs. Joyce Alexander ably represented by her Deputy Christi Okonkwo disclosed plans to collaborate with sister agencies to enforce compliance, and warned that following the awareness campaign, anyone found crossing the highway without using the bridge would be arrested and prosecuted.


In addition, she assured that the command will work with Operation Clean and Healthy  Anambra (OCHA Brigade) and the Police to clear traders who have turned the bridge into a makeshift market, making pedestrian movement difficult
