 TEAM LAGOS EMERGES TOP AT 23RD NATIONAL SPORTS FESTIVAL SOUTH WEST ELIMINATION Lagos State athletes proved their dominance in the South West by edging out regional competitors and emerging top in the five team events contested at the elimination series qualifier for the 23rd National Sports Festival later this year in Enugu. The elimination series featured team events in volleyball, basketball, football, beach volleyball, and cricket in male and female categories. While the team clinched only the female football ticket by topping their group, they showed dominance in three other sports by winning both the male and female tickets. Team Lagos took first position in the volleyball male and female categories. The male team defeated their counterparts from Ondo in the finals by 25-18, 24-26, 25-20, and 25-20, while the female team defeated Team Oyo by 25-18, 22-25, 28-26, 16-25, and 15-8.  Vince McMahon involved in 3-car crash, faces reckless driving allegations, according to report

A WWE legend, Vince McMahon, has been accused of reckless driving following a three-car collision in Westport, Connecticut. According to TMZ, McMahon was driving his 2024 Bentley when he struck a 2023 BMW 430, which was operated by Barbara Doran. The impact also caused McMahon’s vehicle to hit a median guardrail. Debris from the crash reportedly hit a third vehicle, a Ford Fusion, traveling in the opposite direction. No serious injuries were reported, and all involved were wearing seat belts.

McMahon was cited for reckless driving and following too closely, both misdemeanors, and has been summoned to appear in court next month, according to People magazine. The crash happened on the same day wrestling icon Hulk Hogan died at age 71, prompting McMahon to post a heartfelt tribute on X. McMahon, 79, is a former WWE CEO and chairman who began as a commentator before taking over the company in the 1980s. He resigned from WWE’s parent company last year amid a federal lawsuit accusing him of sexual misconduct. McMahon and his wife Linda, who serves as Education Secretary under President Donald Trump, reportedly separated earlier this year.
