By Obiageli Nwakwo

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) senatorial candidate for the forthcoming Anambra South bye-election, Mr. Emma Nwachukwu, has vowed to complete all constituency projects initiated by the late Senator Ifeanyi Uba before his demise.

Nwachukwu made the pledge while speaking at a media parley with members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Anambra State Council, during its August Congress at the Godwin Ezeemo International Press Centre, Awka.

He assured that, if elected on August 16, 2025, his tenure would be anchored on continuity and sustainability.

“My administration will ensure that projects left unfinished due to Senator Uba’s untimely death are completed. I will also work to secure and deliver all that is due to the Anambra South Senatorial District,” he stated.

The APGA candidate further revealed that he would leverage senatorial committee powers to attract development and positive change to both the constituency and Anambra State.

Highlighting APGA’s commitment to inclusive governance, Nwachukwu praised the party’s gender-sensitive approach, citing the recent local government elections where women were well represented. He promised to ensure women and children have a strong voice in his constituency’s affairs.

The Anambra South Senatorial seat became vacant following the sudden death of Senator Ifeanyi Uba, prompting the bye-election scheduled for August 16, 2025.
