  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  BENUE: IDOMA WOMEN LEADERS CALL FOR PEACE IN ADO


A coalition of prominent Idoma women under the banner Anya’ Olo Ki DOMA, a political advocacy group, Thursday called for an end to the escalating crisis between the deputy speaker of the Benue state House of Assembly, Hon. Mrs. Lami Danladi Ogenyi, and the chairman of Ado local government council, Mr. Sunday Oche.


The deputy speaker of the Benue state House of Assembly, Lami Danladi-Ogenyi, recently filed a motion alerting the House to an alleged illegal detention cell in Ezza, Ado local government area.


Danladi-Ogenyi said the cell, purportedly operated by political stooges under the supervision of the council chairman, Sunday Oche, poses a significant threat to the lives of Ezza residents.


The motion calls for the suspension of chairman Oche and his deputy to facilitate an investigation. However, chairman Oche has vehemently denied the allegations, accusing Danladi-Ogenyi of blackmail after he refused to share local government funds with her. Oche maintains that he is not involved in any shady dealings.


The situation has escalated into a deep-seated crisis between the Ado council chairman and the deputy speaker, with their supporters reportedly engaging in physical altercations and petitions.
