 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.  EFCC Arrests Suspected Internet Fraudster with Two Local  Pistols 


Operatives of the Ibadan Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  have arrested a suspected internet fraudster with two locally- made pistols


He was arrested alongside 55 others at K- Hotel in Itori,  Ewekoro area of Ogun State on Wednesday,  August 6,  2025 following reliable intelligence on his alleged fraudulent and criminal activities.


Other items recovered from the suspects are six posh cars,  89 mobile phones,  laptops and several incriminating documents.


They will soon be charged to court.
