 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Flames claim lives of three young children in Limpopo


Police in Thohoyandou have launched an inquest after three young children died in a fire that gutted a one-room house at Itsani village on Friday.


The victims, aged between two and four, were reportedly playing near the house before the blaze broke out. Police say it remains unclear how the children ended up inside the burning room.


Emergency services arrived at the scene and managed to extinguish the flames, but the children were found burned beyond recognition.


Limpopo police commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe described the incident as shocking and confirmed that experts have been summoned to determine the cause of the fire. She also instructed investigators to probe the possibility of negligence charges against the parents or guardians.


Investigations are continuing.
