 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.   Former Warriors and Orlando Pirates Star Tendai Ndoro Passes Away at 40


The football community is mourning the death of former Zimbabwe Warriors and Orlando Pirates striker, Tendai Ndoro, who has passed away at the age of 40.


According to reports, Ndoro was found lifeless in his apartment in South Africa on Monday, 18 August 2025. The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear at this stage.


Ndoro, affectionately known as Tindo, enjoyed a celebrated career across Zimbabwe and South Africa. He rose to prominence at Chicken Inn before moving to the South African Premier Soccer League (PSL), where he played for Mpumalanga Black Aces, Orlando Pirates, Ajax Cape Town, and Highlands Park. During his spell at Pirates, he became one of the league’s leading scorers and a fan favourite for his eye for goal and physical presence.


On the international stage, Ndoro proudly represented Zimbabwe, including at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, where he was part of the Warriors squad.


Tributes have been pouring in from teammates, fans, and football authorities across the region, celebrating his contribution to the game and mourning his untimely passing.


The Ndoro family, the football fraternity, and supporters are devastated by the news, with many describing him as a “true talent gone too soon.”
