 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. 38-year-old woman arrested for stealing 1-week-old baby in Wa


A 38-year-old woman, Abena Martha Maanibeh, has been arrested by the Upper West Regional Police for allegedly stealing a one-week-old baby and valuables belonging to the child’s mother at the Wa Market (Kejetia).


According to Crime Check TV, the suspect tricked the baby’s mother, Ms. Kwofie Mwinbelle, into buying diapers and used the opportunity to escape with the baby, a handbag, phone, cash, and other belongings.


Police tracked her down to her hideout at Nuobollie in the Savannah Region, where she was arrested.


Thankfully, the baby has been safely rescued and reunited with the mother, while some of the stolen items were also recovered.


Police say investigations are still ongoing.
