Russian forces to stay in Mali to fight terrorism: Kremlin The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russian forces would stay in Mali to help the country's government battle terrorists following an offensive over the weekend by Tuareg-led separatists and terrorists. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the statement after being asked by a reporter how Russia responded to a purported statement from the terrorists saying they wanted Russia to leave Mali.  Hunter Biden says he will not apologize to Melania Trump despite lawsuit threat

Hunter Biden has refused to apologize to first lady Melania Trump, despite her legal team threatening a lawsuit over comments he made linking her to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. In a video interview released Thursday with journalist Andrew Callaghan, Biden dismissed the threat, saying, “F--- that. That’s not going to happen.”

The dispute stems from Biden’s August 5 interview, in which he suggested Epstein “introduced Melania” to former President Donald Trump and described the connections between Epstein and the Trumps as “so wide and deep.” Melania Trump’s attorney, Alejandro Brito, sent a cease-and-desist letter on August 6, calling Biden’s statements “false, defamatory, disparaging, and inflammatory” and threatening legal action seeking $1 billion in damages if Biden did not retract his claims. Biden responded by saying he does not believe in guilt by association alone but criticized what he saw as the Trumps’ attempts to distract from “glaringly obvious” connections. He also expressed willingness to participate in a deposition so the Trumps could clarify their relationship with Epstein, while characterizing the couple as “bullies” who hope the lawsuit would intimidate him.
