South Africa says US misrepresented its policies after visa curbs South Africa's foreign ministry said on Wednesday that it ‌had noted with concern U.S. visa restrictions on some people from South Africa announced by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio a day earlier. The foreign ministry added in a statement that the U.S. announcement aligned with "the mischaracterisation of South Africa's domestic policies by fringe groups".  Hunter Biden says he will not apologize to Melania Trump despite lawsuit threat

Hunter Biden has refused to apologize to first lady Melania Trump, despite her legal team threatening a lawsuit over comments he made linking her to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. In a video interview released Thursday with journalist Andrew Callaghan, Biden dismissed the threat, saying, “F--- that. That’s not going to happen.”

The dispute stems from Biden’s August 5 interview, in which he suggested Epstein “introduced Melania” to former President Donald Trump and described the connections between Epstein and the Trumps as “so wide and deep.” Melania Trump’s attorney, Alejandro Brito, sent a cease-and-desist letter on August 6, calling Biden’s statements “false, defamatory, disparaging, and inflammatory” and threatening legal action seeking $1 billion in damages if Biden did not retract his claims. Biden responded by saying he does not believe in guilt by association alone but criticized what he saw as the Trumps’ attempts to distract from “glaringly obvious” connections. He also expressed willingness to participate in a deposition so the Trumps could clarify their relationship with Epstein, while characterizing the couple as “bullies” who hope the lawsuit would intimidate him.
