 GOVERNOR UBA APPRECIATES PRESIDENT TINUBU ON THE AWARD OF STRATEGIC CONTRACTS WORTH  ₦1.178 TRILLION IN KADUNA STATE   Kaduna State governor has extended appreciation to President Tinubu, and the Federal Executive Council for the approval and award of transformative infrastructure contracts that will indelibly reshape the economic and social landscape of the state.   The statement personally signed by the governor lists the projects as follows; the Kaduna Light Rail Project an ambitious undertaking spanning a Kilometers corridor from Rigachikun to Sabon Tasha, alongside a Kilometers line from Millennium City to Rigasa, forming a 50-kilometre metropolitan network with an estimated value of One Trillion Naira. Complementing this is the critical reconstruction of the Mando–Kaduna– Birnin Gwari road, a 122-kilometre artery valued at ₦178 billion.  I didn’t get into politics to enrich myself – El-Rufai warns against voting APC


Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has disclosed that he got into politics to serve humanity and not to enrich himself.


El-Rufai made the remark while urging Nigerians to sack the All Progressives Congress, APC, in 2027.


He spoke while mobilizing youths to support the opposition coalition in Sokoto State on Saturday.


El-Rufai noted that APC posed a risk to Nigeria’s unity, hence should not be allowed to remain in power in 2027.


The key member of the opposition coalition described the APC as “incompetent and clannish,” stressing that it poses a threat to Nigeria’s unity by remaining in power.


He said: “I didn’t get into politics to enrich myself but to serve. And when a government ceases to serve the people, it is my duty as a senior citizen to not only speak out but take action to reverse the situation.”


The opposition coalition had adopted the African Democratic Congress as it moves to ensure the APC doesn’t return to power in 2027.
