 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  I DON'T IDENTIFY AS NIGERIAN - KEMI BADENOCH


British Tory leader Kemi Badenoch has disclosed that she no longer identifies as a Nigerian and has not renewed her Nigerian passport in 20 years.


“I have not renewed my Nigerian passport, I think, not since the early 2000," she said. “I don’t identify with it any more. Most of my life has been in the UK and I’ve just never felt the need to.”


Badenoch said she was born in the UK and is Nigerian by ancestry, but she has never really identified with the country even though she lived in Lagos State for more 10 years. 


“But home is where my now family is, and my now family is my children, it’s my husband and my brother and his children, in-laws. The Conservative Party is very much part of my family, my extended family, I call it.”
