 TROOPS APPREHEND SUSPECTED TERRORIST COLLABORATORS, FAMILY OF ISWAP FINANCE CHIEF SURRENDERS, RECOVER LOGISTICS ITEMS Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have continued to sustain pressure on  terrorists through series of intelligence-led operations that resulted in the arrest of suspected terrorist collaborators, the surrender of the family members of a senior ISWAP commander, and the recovery of terrorist logistics items. In one of the operations conducted on 27 July 2026, troops of 5 Brigade arrested six ISWAP collaborators in Damasak, Borno State. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were allegedly generating funds for the terrorist group through the procurement and sale of cattle at designated markets in Gubio, Damasak and Ajuwango. Items recovered from the suspects included one Volkswagen Golf vehicle, vehicle keys, four mobile phones of different brands, cow meat and the sum of ₦317,950.00.  KWARA UNIVERSITY HANDS OVER ELECTRIC VEHICLES TO STATE GOVT

The Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete has handed over two vehicles which were converted from petroleum engine to electric, to the Kwara State Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Technology, Leadership News reports. 


Presenting the vehicles on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, the Chairman of KWASU Hold-co, Prof. Kenneth Adeyemi described the initiative as a success story that would contribute to sustainable environments while adding economic value to the society.


He expressed gratitude to the ministry for trusting KWASU with the project and assured that the remaining vehicles would be ready for presentation by September 2025.
