 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  LAWYER GIVES NBC 30 DAYS DEADLINE TO REGULATE BIG BROTHER NAIJA 


A human rights lawyer, Maduabuchi Idam, has given the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) 30 days to ban Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) or restrict its audience reach.


Idam said BBNaija Season 10 which kicked off on July 28 promotes obscenities, indecency, and profane content that audience below 18 can watch and imbibe to the detriment of society.


The lawyer said the show is "characterised with brazen exhibition of real-time obscene and pornographic actions" and that"the danger such a programme poses to public decency and morality" is high. 


"The NBC is by this letter urged to within 30 days regulate the “Big Brother Naija” programme by permitting it only to be aired on highly restricted channels, reversed for its target audience and also prohibiting the sharing or dissemination of the explicit contents by the host company, on social media.


“Take notice that in the event of failure to comply with the demand herein, I shall be constrained to seek necessary redress in the Court of competent jurisdiction,” he wrote.
