  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  LAWYER GIVES NBC 30 DAYS DEADLINE TO REGULATE BIG BROTHER NAIJA 


A human rights lawyer, Maduabuchi Idam, has given the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) 30 days to ban Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) or restrict its audience reach.


Idam said BBNaija Season 10 which kicked off on July 28 promotes obscenities, indecency, and profane content that audience below 18 can watch and imbibe to the detriment of society.


The lawyer said the show is "characterised with brazen exhibition of real-time obscene and pornographic actions" and that"the danger such a programme poses to public decency and morality" is high. 


"The NBC is by this letter urged to within 30 days regulate the “Big Brother Naija” programme by permitting it only to be aired on highly restricted channels, reversed for its target audience and also prohibiting the sharing or dissemination of the explicit contents by the host company, on social media.


“Take notice that in the event of failure to comply with the demand herein, I shall be constrained to seek necessary redress in the Court of competent jurisdiction,” he wrote.
