 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. NASA’s Webb telescope discovers a new small moon orbiting Uranus 

NASA’s Webb Space Telescope has discovered a new tiny moon orbiting Uranus.

The moon, revealed Tuesday by NASA, is estimated to be only six miles (10 kilometers) wide. It was detected by Webb’s near-infrared camera during observations conducted in February.

Scientists believe the moon went unnoticed for decades—including during Voyager 2’s flyby roughly 40 years ago—because of its small size and faint visibility.

Uranus now has 29 confirmed moons, with the new discovery adding to the 28 already known. All of Uranus’s moons are named after characters from Shakespeare or Alexander Pope, and roughly half are smaller moons that orbit closer to the planet. This latest moon has yet to receive an official name.
