Kebbi Govt Donates 10 Hilux Vehicles to Boost Security on Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway  The Kebbi State Government has handed over 10 brand-new Hilux vehicles to the Federal Ministry of Works to strengthen security for personnel working on the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway project. The vehicles were formally received by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who praised Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasiru Idris (Kauran Gwandu), for the donation. Goronyo described the gesture as a clear demonstration of the state government’s commitment to protecting workers and contractors on the strategic highway corridor.  Nigerian Government: None of My PAs Earns Below N1 Million Per Month

Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has clarified the salaries of his political aides, stressing that all his Personal Assistants (PAs) earn at least one million naira monthly.

During a Town Square Meeting with residents in Ibiaku Ntok Okpo, within the Ikono and Ini Federal Constituency, Governor Eno expressed criticism towards public comments made by some aides that seemed to minimize their earnings.

The Governor commended Blessed Essien, his Protocol Assistant, for allocating a portion of his salary to finance a borehole project in his community. To honor this initiative, Governor Eno declared Essien's promotion to Special Assistant on Public Works.

Governor Eno pointed out disparities in dedication among his appointees by stating, "I learned about a PA who used part of their earnings to build and maintain a borehole for their village. That's truly commendable. However, others with similar opportunities are not making meaningful contributions to their communities."

He emphasized, "To be clear: every Personal Assistant to the Governor earns at least one million naira per month. Referring to this amount as a 'stipend' is misleading; it constitutes substantial income. I expect all political appointees to demonstrate transparency and accountability."

The Governor also directed the Secretary to the State Government to compile and publish a detailed list of all political appointees, organized by local government areas, in a national newspaper.

He encouraged constituents to hold their representatives accountable by saying, "Inquire with your PAs, SAs, SSAs, and Commissioners—what have they done for your communities?"
