 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  SUSTAINING SAFTEY IN ANAMBRA: POLICE ARRESTS SUSPECTED CULTIST, DRUG PEDDLER AND RECOVER FIREARMS


The Anambra State Police Command in its sustained fight against cultism, drug peddling and unlawful possession of firearms through the Police Operatives attached to the Special Anti-Cult Squad (SPACS) Enugwu Ukwu in the late hours of 28th August 2025 arrested one Ebuka Ubadigbo ‘M’, 35 years old at Nkpor-Umuoji Road, close to a building site in Idemili North LGA. 


The Operatives also recovered 2 (two) pump-action guns with two live cartridges and large quantities of substances suspected to be hard drugs.


Preliminary interrogation revealed that the suspect confessed to involvement in drug peddling and Investigations are ongoing to identify his accomplices and trace the source of the recovered firearms.


The suspect will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
