CJN Bans Lawyers, Court Officials to Stop Using ‘Barrister’ as Official Title The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, has directed lawyers, court officials and other legal personnel to discontinue the use of “Barrister” as a prefix to their names in all official engagements at the Supreme Court. The directive was contained in a memorandum dated July 13, 2026, and signed by the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, Kabir Akanbi. The circular, which was addressed to litigation staff, legal practitioners, court registrars and lawyers, stated that the directive took immediate effect and was aimed at upholding professional standards within the apex court. Afrobeats superstar Davido told critics on X that his Miami wedding with Chioma was the best anyone could have on earth. 


He said they had a perfect wedding ceremony and nothing anyone could say could detract from that reality. He said the event was the best day of their lives and that the entire world celebrated them.


"We had an amazing wedding, perfect INFACT! Me and my wife body still dey sweet us like this. NOTHING UNA FIT DO SAY OR MAKE UP will ever change the facts that we had fairytale wedding! And one of the best days, if not the best day of our lives! The whole world celebrated us!" Davido wrote.
